When I used to live in Italy, I missed not having a dishwasher; every night after dinner I had to wash the dishes and let them dry on the dish rack.

I think the English translation should be “I missed having a dishwasher,” but I am not sure if the Italian should have “non” or not, given the common double negative in Italian. Confused.
