Apologies for my absence as I have been grieving and dealing with my father’s loss these last few weeks.

Today's Parola del Giorno is the pronominal verb, volercene (per fare), which means to take some doing (to do something). 

Remember that this verb is only used in the third person singular.

See the expression used below:

Ce ne vuole di pazienza per far studiare mio figlio! È molto pigro e non dimostra molto entusiasmo verso gli studi.

It take some patience to get my son to study! He is very lazy, and he doesn't show much enthusiasm to his studies.

I think the translation should read "show much enthusiasm FOR his studies" not TO his studies. Just a small point. These prepositions are quite idiosyncratic!
