Today's Parola del Giorno is the pronominal verb, volercene (per fare), which means to take some doing (to do something).
Remember that this verb is only used in the third person singular.

It take some patience to get my son to study! He is very lazy, and he doesn't show much enthusiasm to his studies.

I think the translation should read "show much enthusiasm FOR his studies" not TO his studies. Just a small point. These prepositions are quite idiosyncratic!
