Today's Parola del Giorno is the verb, strillare, which means to scream, to screech, or to yell.  

The verb takes avere in compound tenses; the past participle is strillato. Like many Italian words (but not all), strillarecomes from the Latin word stridulare.

Every weekend the neighbors organize a party, and they don't do anything other than yell until late into the night.  I've had it! I would like to be able to sleep in peace and quiet.
