Did you know that some nouns in Italian change their meaning when the gender of the noun changes?
Some examples:
il boa boa
la boa buoy
il fine goal, objective
la fine end
il fonte font
la fonte source
il pianeta planet
la pianeta chasuble*
*This is a cbasuble. According to Oxford Languages, “a sleeveless outer vestment worn by a Catholic or High Anglican priest when celebrating Mass, typically ornate and having a simple hole for the head.”
