Felice anno nuovo a tutti!

We’ll be back next year in 2022.

In the meantime, Italians have some interesting end of year traditions:

  1. Wearing red underthings is meant to bring good luck and ward off evil in the new year!

  2. Eating lentils (le lenticchie) is supposed to bring wealth and fortune (the little lentils look like coins).

  3. Some observers have noted that in some parts of Italy people throw out old things that are holding them back…like leaving one’s old baggage behind before the new year (sounds like my moving strategy…hahaha)!

However you celebrate, I wish you a safe and happy holiday!
