I discovered last year that the audio files were being copied and repackaged on web sites, so I stopped them for now and moved the site to Substack to have better control over the intellectual property my co-authors and I have created.
thank you for the prompt reply. I came across your site several years ago and enjoyed the format immensely. I signed up expecting the same. I totally understand the paywall and I'm happy to support. is the audio coming back at some point?? and when??
Yes, it will come back. I can't say when as I need to study how best to paywall it. I did a test; if you click on the podcast tab, it should show up (I'll make the post publicly available so you can view it). I just finished my PhD, so my current priorities are finding a job, which consumes most of my free time. Porting the words from the old site to the new one takes time, and I do a little each day.
I find the parola del giorno postings very useful for a more advanced student of the language which I am. I would like to know what is being offered if I subscribe fully to a paid account. You do not say so anywhere on your site and there is not even an email address to contact you on. Thus, in desperation I am doing this via 'Comments'. How can anyone be expected to subscribe if you don't know what you get for your money?
Oh, also, I forgot to mention that people who subscribe at any level (monthly/annual) can get a copy of one our digital language guides. The site that used to host the language guides went out of business, so I need to work on fixing this issue. If you do subscribe, I can send you one of your choosing. Again, as I noted, there's no compulsion to do so as there's a nice mix of mainly free content with paid posts (which are mainly grammar and specialized posts).
I'm not sure why you say there is no email as I received an email from you on June 8. You can respond to any email, and it will automatically go to my email address:
Please note that I will respond to emails as quickly as possible as my personal and professional responsibilities permit. Keep in mind that I may be traveling, on vacation, working, interviewing, or visiting sick relatives in the hospital, all of which take priority over emails that I may receive.
There's free and paid content. 90% of the content is free; there's no requirement to join as a paying member. The money covers the intellectual property that we create as well as access to posts on Italian grammar and sections and chapters from the language guides we have published. Again, there's no requirement to pay as a majority of content is free. For many years, the content remained free on a WordPress site I maintained, but after discovering the work my colleagues was being sold and used by others, I felt it was time to create a paywall for some content.
What you get for your money is knowing that you support content providers who work essentially for free creating educational content. The current subscriber rates, should you choose to pay, is $5/month or $30/year.
Thanks for your prompt, detailed response to my comment. I subscribe to another Italian word of the day site that, like yours, offers the words for free but in addition offers a course in Italian, which is not free. Once I discovered your site, which is at a much higher level than the other and more professional, I assumed there was more to it and was thus baffled that there seemed to be no way of getting to the rest. This is it if you’re interested: alerts@italianpod101.com.
Thanks very much for the service. Much appreciated.

Something happened to the original audio post, so I recreated it. You can find it here: https://www.paroladelgiorno.com/p/il-golfo-fd0?s=w#details
